Mitzi Krockover, MD’s Story
Mitzi Krockover, MD began her career as a physician with a deep commitment to improving healthcare for women. Early in her career, she recognized that women’s health required a more integrated and patient-centered approach than traditional healthcare systems often provided.
This insight led her to lead the creation of the Iris-Cantor UCLA Women’s Health Center, a pioneering program that integrated primary care with specialized women’s health services. The center quickly gained national recognition and became a model for comprehensive women’s healthcare.
Throughout her career, Mitzi expanded her impact beyond clinical medicine—serving as Vice President of Women’s Health at Humana, advising healthcare organizations, investing in innovative health companies, mentoring founders and advocating for policies to support women’s health and innovation.
